The form can also be obtained from the office of Registrar, Room No.65, Thapar Hall, PAU, Ludhiana on any working day from 1000 hrs to 1600 hrs by depositing the required amount (form cost ) in cash at the counter by 26 November 2012.

Educational Qualifications / Experience:
1. Dean, College of Agriculture • B.Sc. / B.Sc.(Agri.) / B.Sc.(Hons.).
• Ph.D. in any discipline of Agricultural Science with good academic record.
• Twelve years’ experience in teaching / research / extension in Agricultural Science in a College / Institution out of which, at least three years must be as Professor / equivalent.
• Substantial contributions to teaching / research and scholarship as evidenced by the teaching innovations / quality of papers published in professional journals of repute, adoption of results of research / extension education.
2. Registrar
• PG with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
• Minimum 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor or equivalent / Associate Professor or equivalent of which 8 years should be in Associate Professor or equivalent grade with experience in Educational Administration. OR
• Comparable experience in research establishments and other institutions of higher education OR
• 15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
3. Comptroller
• Graduate with second division or a Postgraduate.
• Cleared S.A.S. Exam conducted by the CAG / State Finance Department or Higher Standard Examination of PAU.
• 10 years experience in a supervisory capacity in financial management / administration of which five years must be as Accounts Officer / Deputy Registrar or equivalent in Government office / Institution preferably in a University. OR
• Graduate with second division and Chartered Accountant with 55% marks having 6 years experience in the field of Financial Management in Govt./ Public Sector undertaking.
4. Senior Biochemist
• An eminent scholar having Ph.D. in Biochemistry / Food Technology and actively engaged in teaching / research / extension with published work having at least 10 publications as books and / or research / policy papers in indexed / ISBN / ISSN numbered journals / books.
• Ten years experience in teaching / research / extension education in the area of wheat quality evaluation, out of which, at least two years should be as Associate Professor or equivalent in the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000+AGP Rs.9000 and remaining as Assistant Professor / equivalent (The period spent in obtaining Ph.D.degree will not be counted as research experience).
5. Associate Professor of Computer Science
• PG degree.
• Ph.D. in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering.
• Eight years’ experience in teaching / research / extension in the area of Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Engineering at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. (The period spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree will not be counted as research experience).
6. Deputy Director (Trg.) at KVKs
• Ph.D. in any branch of Agriculture and allied sciences / discipline.
• Eight years experience in teaching / research / extension education in the discipline of Agriculture at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. (The period spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree will not be counted as research experience).
7. Assistant Professor (Bioinformatics)
Essential
• B.Sc. (Bioinformatics) / B.Sc. (Biotech.) / B.Sc.
• Master’s degree in Bioinformatics / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Molecular Genetics (with proven experience in Bioinformatics).
Desirable
• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Molecular Genetics.
• Post-Doctoral research experience in Bioinformatics / Genomics
8. Assistant Director Physical Education
• Graduate in the relevant discipline.
• Master’s degree in Physical Education or equivalent.

• Candidates should have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) in the relevant discipline conducted by ASRB / UGC / CSIR with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi) rated refereed journal.
• Candidates holding Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline required at Master’s level shall be exempted from
passing NET.
• A candidate who may not possess Master’s degree in the relevant discipline but possesses Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master’s level shall be eligible for the post
Note: For positions on Sl. No 1, and Sl. No 3 to Sl. No 9, candidates should hold a metric level certificate of Punjabi language. If not, the selected candidate would be required to pass the same within one year of appointment.
Contributions to research and scholarship made by candidates, applying for posts on Sl No 5 & 6, should be evidenced by quality of papers published with minimum of 5 publications as books and / or research / policy papers in indexed / ISBN / ISSN numbered journals and / or ISBN / ISSN numbered books and / or adoption of results of research, innovations in teaching / extension education
Selection Process: Final selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in Interview. Only shortlisted candidates would be called to appear for the Interview.
